Experience Miami Beach on a Citi Bike for a quick commute or a leisurely bike ride where you set your own pace. This special program is designed to encourage Miami Beach residents to enjoy the city by bike…Free Citi Bike rides are on the way! We’ve received a lot of interest and inquiries since the Miami Beach Resident Incentive program was announced, so we want to provide you with all the details about how to get started. Please read the details below to answer the most asked questions. You may apply for the program in-person at our South Beach store, via the online registration link below, or via email (see below for details). You must be able to provide documentation proving residency in Miami Beach.

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO ACCESS THE MIAMI BEACH RESIDENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM – PICK ONE PER RESIDENT:

OPTION 1: THREE FREE RIDES FOR NEW CITI BIKE MIAMI BEACH CUSTOMERS (NON-SUBSCRIPTION MEMBERS)

• Register to receive a free promotion code good for three (3) free 30-minute rentals. The promotion code is valid to redeem for 30 days once issued, please send an email to customerservice@decobike.com or you can visit our store at 723 Washington Avenue (see hours below) along with proof of City of Miami Beach residency (see acceptable forms of residency document below).
• The promotion code is valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issuance and will expire thereafter. As a Miami Beach resident, you may request a new promotion code upon the expiration of every 30-day period either via email or in person at our South Beach store.
• The promotion code is valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issuance and will expire thereafter. As a Miami Beach resident, you may request a new promotion code upon the expiration of every 30-day period either via email or in person at our South Beach store.
• You will receive a single promotional code valid that is valid for three (3) 30-munute free rentals. This code will be valid to use up to three free 30-minute rentals within the first 30-day period from when the promotion code is issued.  The code will expire after 30 days. You can request another code after 30 days at the Citi Bike store in-person or via email.
• Once the initial 30-day period has expired since you were issued the codes, you may request another code for yourself for the next month. This is limited only to residents who show proof of residency in Miami Beach.

OPTION 2: FREE MONTH OF MEMBERSHIP FOR EXISTING CITI BIKE MIAMI BEACH MEMBERS WITH AN ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP FOR THE LAST 12 MONTHS (FOR CURRENT ANNUAL OR MONTHLY SUBSCRIBERS ONLY)

• For those Miami Beach residents that choose the other option of a free month of membership rather than the free rentals, this applies specifically for customers who currently have had an active membership subscription for at least 12 continuous months, and they may request a credit for a free month of membership to be applied to their account (limited to one time per year of subscription length).
• To register, please send an email to customerservice@decobike.com or you can visit our store at 723 Washington Avenue (see hours below) along proof of City of Miami Beach residency (see acceptable forms of residency document below).

CITI BIKE RESIDENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM – IMPORTANT DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS – PLEASE READ:

• Access to Citi Bikes for this program is exclusively available via the Citi Bike Miami app (Android and iOS) and is for adults ages 18 years or older who are comfortable and experienced in the safe operation of bicycles.
• The Citi Bike Miami app shows live bikeshare station locations as well as available bikes and docks/parking spaces. Always check your destination bikeshare station for available dock/parking spaces.
• Rent a bike from any Citi Bike station and return to any other Citi Bike station. Ride, dock, and repeat during your free rental period. Please see the Citi Bike Miami app for available locations and bikes.
• Never leave a Citi Bike unattended or unlocked, you are responsible if it is lost or stolen during your rental.
• A credit card is required to activate and secure your account. If you do not return your bike on time or at all, additional fees will apply. If you keep bike out longer than your free rental period, standard late fees/additional usage fees apply (see fees here: https://citibikemiami.com/pricing ).
• The Citi Bike system operates at approximately 170 bikeshare station locations in Miami Beach, Miami, Surfside, and Bay Harbor Islands, 24/7.  
• Electric-assist bikes may not be ridden in several parts of the city, see here for the map of restricted riding areas for electric-assist bikes highlighted in red: https://citibikemiami.com/map
• All Citi Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are accessible in the resident incentive program.  Availability of electric-assist bikes is not guaranteed.
• Citi Bike continues to expand to new locations including recently added bikeshare stations at the Miami Beach Convention Center and the Normandy Fountain in North Beach, and new locations in Surfside. Hundreds of new model Citi Bikes (including new mechanical and electric-assist bikes) are being rolled out as we continue to update the fleet.
• A properly fitted helmet is recommended for all program participants. Citi Bike does not provide helmets. Please source your desired bike helmet from any retail store or online that is CPSC-approved.
• Before you ride away from a Citi Bike station, please give a quick test on the bike for the adjustable seat height, the brakes and the tire pressure, and other components to help ensure you have a comfortable ride. If you don’t like the bike you selected, you can take another bike after you dock your original rental and get any other bike that is available during your free rental period. Please email us if you have a bike that needs you feel needs service at customerservice@decobike.com and include the bike number so we can give it an additional inspection and service if necessary.
• Citi Bike Miami Beach is owned and operated by DecoBike LLC.  

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Residents may only select/redeem one of the two Miami Beach Resident Incentive options above per resident.
• All riders and participants in the resident incentive program are bound by the Deco Bike LLC / Citi Bike Miami Terms of Use: https://citibikemiami.com/terms-of-use as is required all of persons accessing a Citi Bike operated by DecoBike LLC.

HOW TO PROVIDE THE REQUIRED PROOF OF CITY OF MIAMI BEACH RESIDENCY:

Please visit our store at 723 Washington Avenue in South Beach, or you can email your proof of Miami Beach residency to customerservice@decobike.com. If inquiring by email, please include “Miami Beach Resident Incentive” in the subject line to route your email to the correct team members. See additional details below:

• Acceptable proof of residency documents includes a copy of your utility bill, driver’s license, phone bill, or other similar documentation.
• We reserve the right to reject any residency documents that may appear to be altered or fraudulent, or that do not clearly and reasonably demonstrate residency at our discretion.  In the event we reject any such documents received, we may request additional forms of documents proving residency.
