The Citi Bike program is operated by DECOBIKE LLC and is Miami and Miami Beach's official s bike sharing and rental system. The Citi Bike program is intended to provide locals and visitors with an additional transportation option for getting around the city. Bike sharing is fun, efficient, and convenient.
The solar-powered bike sharing system consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy, very durable bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations sited at regular intervals around a city.
With 160+ station locations and more on the way, bikes are available to use 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are two distinct ways to utilize the Citi Bike program, either as a Bike Share Membership or an Hourly Rental. Here's how it works.
An hourly rental allows a rider to keep the bike for the entire duration of the rental period. As a perk, you can also dock/park your bike at any station and check another during your rental period. The rental period starts at the time of your original transaction.
MORE INFOEnjoy UNLIMITED 30-minute (Standard) or 60-minute rides (Deluxe) included for free, to get from station to station where you dock/park the bike. The ride clock resets each time you dock at a Citi Bike station. When docked, the bike is then available for the next person to use.
MORE INFOElectric bikes are not allowed to be ridden on any sidewalk in Miami or Miami Beach, the Beach Walk, Lincoln Road Mall, South Pointe Park, Pier and Cutwalk, Marina Baywalk, Collins and Lummus Park.
Citi Bikes are NOT permitted on the Metrorail or Metro Mover systems. Miami-Dade Transit Security and local police are authorized to stop anyone who fails to comply and may retain the bike(s).
